About Jamie
I started my career in relationship
abuse prevention, so I come to
sexuality education with a focus on
trauma-informed pedagogy. Bodily
autonomy, choice, and consent are
centered in my teaching - and so are
play and creativity!
I specialize in working with queer and trans youth,
building inclusive curricula, and training educators to
cultivate LGBTQ+-inclusive classrooms.
I’m based in Philadelphia, PA!
I see sexuality education as a space for youth and adults to explore social
justice, imagine and enact a better world, and cultivate social-emotional skills like
self-advocacy, healthy conflict, and communication.

“Jamie came to speak with my 9th and 10th graders three times to cover reproductive health, consent and relationships. The students found her classes very honest, informative and fun. Jamie's attitude and demeanor puts teens at ease and creates a safe space to talk about difficult subjects. Her work on safe sex and STIs, in particular, was so hands-on and entertaining that I feel it should be part of every high school curriculum!”

“I like the energy that Jamie brought. I feel
that sometimes with things like this the
speaker can be very serious and boring but
that wasn’t the case with this. It was easy to
talk and learn with the way Jamie set it up.”
- - College Student
“I loved how we talked about
how to respect someone.”
- -Elementary School Student
“I’ve enjoyed today because
I struggle to say no a lot in
my relationships.”
